Huckabee Is Smoking Something Anyway

All this latest furor over Mike Huckabee has led me to dedicate myself to posting everything I can find about his positions.

Part of the reason I am convinced people are supporting him is because in truth aside from his Pro-Life position his policies are totally unknown.

For those of you who beleive in the rights of states and keeping the Federal Government small and unobtrusive consider this.

Bottom line is that

Huckabee committed to sign a nationwide smoking ban in public places, should such a measure win approval in Congress. Brownback said he would let anti-smoking efforts continue under the authority of states and local communities.

SO Huckabee..the so called conservative thinks an appropriate role of the Federal Government is punishing people for smoking cigarrete's. The prohibition of the 20th century is smoking and Huckabee is all on board with the notion that the federal government shoudl be telling people where they can and can't smoke.

As I have said before Mike Huckabee belives in active federal power, he is NOT a small government conservative...he is a pro-life liberal masquerading as a republican.

If Immigration Is Your Issue, Huckabee Isn't Your Guy.

Full Story

Groups that support a crackdown on illegal aliens haven't settled on their champion in the race for the White House, but there's little doubt which Republican scares them most — former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

"He was an absolute disaster on immigration as governor," said Roy Beck, president of NumbersUSA, a group that played a major role in rallying the phone calls that helped defeat this year's Senate immigration bill. "Every time there was any enforcement in his state, he took the side of the illegal aliens."

I have said it before and I'll say it again.

Huckabee is not a conservative on anything except the life issue.

He can't win. He won't win.

The Huckabee Hits Keep On Coming

Mike Huckabee's presidential rivals are pointing to chinks in his record as Arkansas' governor - from ethics complaints to tax increases to illegal immigration and his support for releasing a rapist who was later convicted of killing a Missouri woman.

The Republican presidential candidate has plenty to champion from his 10 1/2 years as governor - including school improvements and health insurance for the children of the working poor. But his record has rough edges, and Huckabee has a habit of playing fast and loose with it.

Other campaigns for the GOP nomination, watching Huckabee's rise in polls in Iowa, are starting to mine his past for political fodder. Take ethics, for example.

"People are starting to contact us and they're saying we want everything on Mike Huckabee," says Graham Sloan, director of the state's Ethics Commission.

Read it and weep folks.  This is your Great Hope for the GOP?  Give me a break. This guy is a joke.

Novak's Bullseye Assault on Huckabee

Prepare yourself if you read this website.

For the next several weeks I am going to be spending most of my space trying my hardest to do my part in stopping this insane push for Mike Huckabee.

By all means if you want to destroy any chance of winning the White House in 08 and possibly shred the Republican party for years to come then throw away your vote. But understand this...he will NOT win.

Not that I am THAT worried. Huckabee is sort of the last look of republicans who have been frustrated by a weak field. His obscurity has been his ally but now that he has moved off the second tier the exposure will destroy him. The problem right now is noone understand just what a big government tax and spend liberal he is.

Read this wonderful article by Novak and you will get a clearer picture.

Best part is this is just the start.  so  "Cry Havoc, and Loose the Dogs of War"  Let's bring this pretender down and clean the field up for the real contenders.

Youth's Huh?

Story

France —  Rampaging youths rioted overnight in Paris' suburbs, hurling Molotov cocktails and setting fire to dozens of cars. At least 77 officers were injured and officers were fired at, a senior police union official said Tuesday.

The violence was more intense that during three weeks of rioting in 2005, said the official, Patrice Ribeiro. Police were shot at and are facing "genuine urban guerillas with conventional weapons and hunting weapons."

This is just grossly negligent on the part of the AP. I am frankly sick and tired of liberal media trying to cover up the truth of things... Youths?  You mean Muslim's. Have the courage to at least be honest for Pete's sake.

You Say We Don't Need To Increase Border Enforcment?

Story

Fort Huachuca, the nation's largest intelligence-training center, changed security measures in May after being warned that Islamist terrorists, with the aid of Mexican drug cartels, were planning an attack on the facility.

Fort officials changed security measures after sources warned that possibly 60 Afghan and Iraqi terrorists were to be smuggled into the U.S. through underground tunnels with high-powered weapons to attack the Arizona Army base, according to multiple confidential law enforcement documents obtained by The Washington Times.

Apparently a number of these invaders are already in teh United States in safe houses.

What I want to know is what is being done about it and more precisely what is being done to shut down or at least make it clear to the Cartel's that assisting these terrorists is NOT going to be in their best interest.

Yet ANother Mideast Peace Conference

Here we go again for another round of Mideast Peace Talks.

Futile and Fruitless.

I can see it now..America gets Israel into a room and threatens cajoles and pleads with them to give up yet more land in exchange for a bogus peace that will never happen.

The fact that Syria is showing up tells me that the Golan Heights are on the table...hopefully Israel won't give them up..but I'm sure the US will be applying lots of preasure.

It brings me to mind of a comment Yoni made on Hugh Hewitt..I don't have the exact quote but the gist of it was that so long as American was goign to continue to be a willing sucker and dupe to lying Islamists who have no intention of doing anything but destroying Israel then we should stay out of the middle east.

Romney's Defense Vision Seriously Flawed

There a a million reasons why I don’t like the thought of Mit Romney as President…not the least of which is that I don’t think he can beat Hillary. The real bottom line for me though about Romney is that he is not what he pitches himself to be. Frankly, I am a bit tired of listening to the man constantly reference Reagan...his meaning being clear that we would of course have another Reagan in him. Nonsense, rot and garbage...for one thing Reagan didn’t run around comparing himself to other popular presidents…he was his own man and he new what he stood for.

But that isn’t the main reason I don’t like him as a candidate either. For me the most important thing in the world right now is the war against the Islamic Fascists. I want a president who will be strong committed and active in pursuing our enemies and destroying them. Romney despite his claims to the contrary will not do that.

With Ramney we would get precisely what we don’t need…more legalism and lawyers making our defense decisions…which means more of the same inaction and wishy washy leaderlessness that we can’t afford.

But don’t take my words for it. Take his own words for it.

Go back to the debate where he said that if action was necessary against Iran…

"You sit down with your attorneys and {have them} tell you what you
have to do, but obviously the president of the United States has to do what's in the best interest of the United States to protect us against a potential threat."

Or this when asked if he needed congressional approval to strike…

"You know, we're going to let the lawyers sort out what he needed to do and what he didn't need to do,"

Those are his own words Folks.

Now Hugh Hewitt being a Romneyite of the first order spent practically a whole show after that misstep trying to explain to people that that wasn’t what he really meant and he wouldn’t really be a lawyer consulter…but then on Hugh’s own show just a few days back Romney had this to say on his strategy for fighting the war on terror.

“And I’ve called for the establishment of something I call a special partnership force, which is an intelligence and Army Special Forces team which is able to go into countries that request the help, to help get rid of the most violent and the most extreme and the radical jihadists, not necessarily militarily, but instead by helping insure that there are good public schools that are not Wahabi schools, that there’s the rule of law, and so forth.”

So there you have it folks…as Commander in Chief of the armed forces Mit Romney is going to send our special forces troops in to build schools…because as we all know all these terrorists need is a better education and opportunity and then they wont be terrorists.  That’s Mit’s vision for your safety folks.  Lawyers making the decisions in the White House...and special forces building schools.

Don’t you just feel safe already?
